Eating constantly out costs alot of money, its not easy to monitor ingredients or preparation and people seldom make healthy choices. Learning how to make food in a pinch is critical although meal prepping is more advantageous.


When cooking items remember that multiple things can be prepared while the other is cooking.


Meat


Ground beef (7-10 minutes on the stove)

Ground turkey (15 minutes)

Egg/ Egg whites (100-180 seconds in the microwave, 2-4 minutes in a pan)

Chicken breast (5-10 minutes depending on thickness)

Rotisserie chicken (Store bought)

Deli meat (Store bought)

Pre cooked chicken (Store bought)

Canned fish like salmon or tuna (It can be combined with eggs or eaten alone)

Tilapia (10-12 minutes in the oven, 8 minutes on stovetop)

Shrimp (4-6 minutes in pan)


Carbohydrates


Pre Cooked pre packaged rice (1-2 minutes in microwave)

Minute rice (10 minutes on stove)

Potato (7 minutes in the microwave, 15 minutes on stovetop)

Pasta (8-12 minutes)

Bread (Toast it)

Pre Cooked pre packaged pasta (1-2 minutes in the microwave)
